Upon successful completion of this lab the students of this lab will be able to:

  • Create database objects
  • Modify / Manipulate database objects
  • Retrieve the data from the database server

  1. SQL data types, Operators, Literals, Constraints
  1. DDL Commands: Create Tables/Create Synonym /Create index /Views / Alter /                         Drop/Truncate/Comment/Rename/DBCC (Database Console Commands)
  1. DML Commands:  Insert / Update / Delete / Merge/Lock Table
  1. TCL Commands: Commit / Rollback / Save-Points /Set Transaction
  1. DCL Commands: Grant / Revoke/Deny
  1. Simple Queries: Select / From / Where
  1. Group By/Having Clause
  1. Order By clause
  1. SQL Operators: Arithmetic / Logical /In / Like / Between
  1. Functions: Aggregate / Numeric / String / Date & Time / Logical
  1. Joins: Equi-Join / Natural Join / Self Join / Inner Join / Outer Join
  1. Unions / Intersection / Minus
  1. Subqueries or Nested Queries
