Inaugural Session Day 1
It has been a matter of immense pride and prestige for IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur to organize the 2 days 2nd FICR International Conference on “Rising Threats in Expert Applications & Solutions” from 7 January 2022 to 8 January 2022 in hybrid mode.
Day 1 commenced seekingthe blessingsof the Almighty followed by lamp lighting by the dignitaries on the dais. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Hon’ble Chancellor IIS (deemed to be University) extended a warm welcome to all the resource persons and the participants. Prof. T. N. Mathur, Vice Chancellor IIS (Deemed to be University) Jaipur, congratulated the organizers and highlighted the facets of technology and its need in the coming future. It was followed by an enlightening talk by Dr.Yogesh Singh Chauhan, Professor, IIT, Kanpur. He emphasized that conferences are a great platform to meet various people, to share their research ideas and lead to various collaborations. Some dignitaries likeProf.Mike Hinchey (Professor,UniversityofLimerick,Ireland), Prof. Joao Manuel RS Tavares (Convenor and Professor, University of Porto, Portugal), Prof.Valentina EmillaBalas(Professor, University of Arad, Romania), Dr. Niko Phillips (Director, International Activate learning, City of Oxford college, Oxford, UK) and many others wished success for the conference through their online presence and pre-recorded videos.
Prof. Vijay Singh Rathore introduced the participants about the aims and objectives of the conference.He started with the purpose behind naming the conference FICR is the need to findthe positive solutions instead of worries (fikra). The book of abstracts was also released by the dignitaries on the dais. The inaugural concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr.Anubha Jain, Associate Professor,IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur.
Technical session I (11:55-1:30)
The first technical session of Day 1 was chaired by Prof. Maya Ingle, (Senior Professor, Computer Science, Devi AhilyaVishwavidyalaya,Indore).
The first keynote speech was delivered online by Prof. Mike Hinchey, (Professor, Software Engineering, University of Limerick, Ireland) . His topic was “BuildingResilientAutonomous SpaceExplorationMissions” and he acquainted the audience with Swarm technologies,the concept of smarter cities, adaptive security and autonomous spacecraft.
The second keynote was addressed by Prof Yogesh Chauhan., (Professor,DepartmentofElectricalEngineering,Kanpur) who talked about “Nanoscale TransistorsandIntegratedCircuits”. He stated his view on how science forms the base for Nanotechnology and reflects Society needs.
The third keynote was delivered by Mr.VipinJain, (HeadQAandDeliveryManager, Metacube Software Pvt. Ltd.,Jaipur) who discussed “IoT Devices& Security” and made audiences aware of the pros and cons andabout the usage of recent digital devices.
The last keynote was by Mr. Aninda Bose, (ExecutiveEditor, Springer Nature, India). He graced the session with his online presence. He explained the “Elements ofBookPublishing”.He encouraged the students and researchers to be more active in various areas of research and introduced many of the available tools on Springer website which are of help to researchers today.
The session was concluded by Prof.VibhakarMansotra (Senior Professor, Computer Science,UniversityofJammu,Jammu) who appreciated the keynote speakers and teammembers.
Technical session II (2:15-3:30)
The second technical session of the conference was chaired by Dr.O.P.Rishi(Department of Computer Science & Informatics,UniversityofKota,Kota),who warm heartedly welcomed all the keynote speakers.
The first keynote speaker was Prof. Milan Tuba, (Vice Rector International relations, Singidunum University, Belgrade, Serbia) in online mode. His key highlights were about “ConvolutionalNeuralNetworksandChallengesofDigitalImageClassification”.
The second keynote speaker was Prof.RosalinaBabo, (Professor,Polytechnic InstituteofPorto,Portugal) in online mode, who discussed on the topic “How to distinguish members in a workgroup”. She discussed the features of toolWebAVALIA which helps to makefair assessment for a team project.
The third keynote speaker was Prof.Hanumanthappa M., (Director, Department of computer science, Bangalore university, Bengaluru) in online mode. His topic was “How Linear Algebra is FuelingArtificialIntelligence”. He focused on how AI opens world of opportunities.
The last keynote speaker was Dr.NilanjanDey(Associate ProfessorDepartment of CSE,JISUniversity,Kolkata) who presented his views on “DeepLearninginMedicalImaging:ChallengesandState-of-the-ArtSolutions”. He shared his knowledge regarding the challenges in imaging and give its practical solutions.
In Oral Presentations session I, three concurrent sessions were held in hybrid mode, where 25 research papers were presented by participants from various universities.
Day 2
Second day of the conference commencedwith postersession in which 6 posters were presented.This was followed by Oral Presentations session where 47 research papers were presented by participants from various universities.
The key highlights of these sessions were Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Character Recognition and neural networks, Sign language. Participants alsopresented paper on some trending concepts like data mining,Block-Wise Fine Tuned Alex Net Architecture, Faster Index search, Deep learning, Automatic Segmentation, Object Detection, Automatic Detection and recovery Systemto name a few.
The conference received incredible response from both delegates and participants who were connected through hybrid mode across the globe. From a multitude of research scholars and professors we received 257 research papers, out of which 81 were registered. In all more than 60 papers were presented.Significant dignitaries from various countries like Portugal, Romania, USA and UK contributed extensively to the conference and were highly appreciated.
The conference was successful in its aim of sharing knowledge on Security & Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Advance Web Technologies and Cyber Security Threats and Solutions. The sessions were indeed an insightful and learning experience for the participants and everyone invited.On behalf of IIS family, I would like to thank all keynotes speakers for their valuable knowledge sharing.I amalso thankful to allthe participants and organizing team members and supporting staff.
