Alumna Student Interaction- Guest Lecture

Department of CS & IT organized a guest lecture on 1st September 2014 on the topic “Online Gaming Opportunity”. This lecture was conducted by Ms Priyanka Sharma, alumna student of M.Sc. (IT). She is presently working in the field of online gaming and testing. She explained how a person can get employed through internet. 

In the whole session she threw light on various aspects of online game development which is giving many benefits to the IT companies today. She shared information about various online jobs opportunities like Data entry, Survey form, Software testing, Advertisement and Gaming. She explained the process of how online games are developed and updated through websites. Also how user plays the game, tests it and gives their reviews regarding the game-functionality and working of the characters. She also informed that how users are paid for their valid reviews. The students got to know about some famous website for gaming like- EA games, Raptor, Steam and Gog.Online gaming has contributed a large part in the World Wide Web and also employment for the users. In U.S.A., salary of a gamer is approximately 15-20 lakh per annum. Hence, this session was a very informative and beneficial one for all the students who want to pursue their career in the gaming field.
