School of Media Studies, IIS (Deemed to be) University in collaboration with the School of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a day-long photography excursion to Amber Fort on October 14, 2023. This trip was a part of the practical component of the two-day photography workshop with Canon.
Around 50 students left the campus early in the morning, quite enthusiastically. Upon reaching the site, they were asked to divide themselves in pairs and complete the assignments, notably, creating three videos in Instagram reel format and clicking five pictures of each category, namely, nature, architecture and portrait/fashion.
Teacher escorts also briefed the students about the history of the Palace and its royal families. The architecture of the place was detailed to the students while they clicked photographs. Later, their assignments were screened. The teachers asked them to correct the errors and re-click. Once the pictures were in place and the concepts were clear to the students; the team left for campus around 1:30 in the afternoon.
This excursion proved to be a great success in the sense that students not only learnt a lot but enjoyed themselves as well.
