Summary

 

In collaboration with QA Education Solutions Private Ltd. (QAcademy), the Department of Computer Science and IT organized a 4-week AWS internship program starting from 9thOctober, 2023.

The introductory session began with an overview of cloud computing, covering topics such as what the cloud is, how data is stored on it, and how to create an account on the AWS platform.

The instructor gave us an overview of virtualization, beginning with a discussion of data centers and the distinctions between cloud computing and virtualization.The course covered both the foundational ideas of information security and the corresponding Hands On practical.

The second week of the session was spent teaching the students how to choose the cloud region and what packages they could use to communicate with AWS. 

They also went over the AWS products that are available for cloud computing and can be used once an account has been created. The instructor went into great detail about every AWS product, from Amazon EC2 to Amazon CloudFront.

The session then moved into week three, covering automating deployment techniques, cloud security, cloud decision-making processes, and work-related pricing structures.

Week 4's sessions covered every aspect of project development, from the SDLC to project development and models used, all of which the students needed to know in order to develop their projects on the assigned list of topics.

The students benefited greatly from the internship program as a whole, expanding their knowledge in cloud computing and virtualization technologies, as well as understanding how these approaches are applied practically in the specific organization.
