The Computer Defined, Characteristics of computers, Computer Generations, Classification of computers, Essential computer hardware: Motherboard, Processing Devices, Memory Devices: Storage Devices, Software: System and Application Software. Input Devices: Keyboard and Mouse: The Standard Keyboard Layout, How Computer Accepts Input from Keyboard, Using Mouse, Variants of Mouse, Other Data Input Devices: Pen, Touch Screens, Bar Code Readers, OCR. Output Devices: Softcopy devices: CRT Monitors, Flat Panel Monitors, Comparing Monitors, Video Cards, Hardcopy devices: Printers, Dot Matrix, Ink Jet, Laser Printers, and Comparing Printers.
