The Scope of Electronic Commerce, Definition of Electronic Commerce, Electronic Commerce and the Trade Cycle, Electronic Markets, Internet Commerce, Advantages and limitation of E-commerce, Supply Chains, Porter’s Value Chain Model, Inter Organizational Value Chains, Porter’s Model, First Mover Advantage, Sustainable Competitive Advantage, Competitive Advantage using E-Commerce.

Other concepts. E-supply chain, Virtual value chain, and M-commerce.

Business Models for E-Commerce (B2B, B2C, C2B, C2C), E-business models based on relationship of transaction types. Brokerage model, aggregator model, info-mediary model, community model, manufacturer model, affiliate model. 

Electronic Markets. Usage of electronic markets, advantages and limitation of electronic markets, future of electronic market. Business on the internet and life cycle approach.

E-payment system. online payment category, digital token based E-payment system, micropayment, smart cards, and   mobile payments, e-cash, e-wallet, e- cheque. Introduction to secure electronic transaction (SET).

Introduction, Popular Payment Gateway Providers, working process, payment processors, Selecting the   Right Payment Gateway for Business. Security Solutions. cryptography, authorization, digital currency and signature. Crypto currency concept, bit coin & block chain.

A model for Organizing the issues, Basic Ethical Concepts, Analyzing Ethical Dilemmas, Candidate Ethical Principles Privacy and Information Rights. Information collected at E-Commerce Websites, The Concept of Privacy, Intellectual Property Rights, Types of Intellectual Property protection, Governance. 

Security and Legal Aspects of E-commerce -Cyber Laws –Relevant provisions of Information Technology Act 2000, offences, secure electronic records and digital signatures penalties and adjudication.
