ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND MANAGEMENT (THEORY)
Course Objective: This course will enable the students to
Motivate for taking up entrepreneurial venture and equip them with the modalities associated with the formation and functioning of an enterprise.

Meaning, Classification, Process, Importance & benefits, Barriers to entrepreneurship, Types of entrepreneurs, Functions & Characteristics of a successful entrepreneur.
Women entrepreneurship:
Concepts, features, Factors favoring women entrepreneurship, Functions & role of women entrepreneurs, Issues, Development of women entrepreneurs in India, Associations in aid, Promotional schemes for women entrepreneurs
Starting a new venture (New business plan):
Business plan: Meaning, importance, Elements of a business plan, Preparation of a business plan, Determinants of effective business planning.
Registration of enterprise:
Provisional registration, Permanent registration, Procedure of registration
Management concepts:
Definition, Characteristics, Fayol’s principles of effective management, Management Vs. Administration, Significance of management.
Elements of Management function:
Definition, importance and process of Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing and Controlling functions of management.
