CO109. Identify the basic principles of UI design and UI guidelines in different case studies like web applications, mobile applications and desktop applications.

CO110. Identify users and their role in designing UI.

CO111.Determine basic business functions     and design standards for UI.

CO112. Identify screen design goals and organize screen elements

CO113. Design     customized navigation scheme,    screen components    and identify suitable device.

Unit I: 

The course will cover following contents:

  • Identify business problem and study customer/user behavior 
  • Design Story board for a particular use case
  • Design a blue print (low fidelity design)
    • Selection of application (desktop, website and mobile)
    • Design a menu structure and navigation flow 
  • Design wireframe using hand drawings
  • Design prototype on a tool by selecting a particular frame
    • Customizing template
    •  Typography, color and shapes
    • Images and icons
    • grouping objects
    • widgets and plugins
  • Design wireframes and customizing the prototype using animation
  • Showcase the project
