Objective of the Event: The objective of this event is to make students aware of the latest security/hacking techniques through which one can save oneself from cyber hacking.

Topic: Cyber Crime Awareness Programme Concludes, Equipping IIS University Students for Digital Safety

The Department of CS & IT and Department of Business Studies, IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur in collaboration with Central Detective Training Institute Jaipur organized a three-day Cyber Crime Awareness Programme. The program was aimed at empowering students and faculty members with crucial knowledge about cyber threats and online safety. Attendees gained the ability to identify and prevent risks associated with online practices.

The day one program held for the Faculty of Arts and Social Science on 22 August 2023 witnessed a significant turnout of students.  The session covered a wide range of cyber-related topics, including Online Security Basics and Child Safety in the Digital World. The program's success was largely attributed to the expertise of the guest speaker renowned Cyber Crime Consultant, Mr. Yogesh Rao, who enlightened the participants about various online threats and strategies for staying safe in the digital realm. On day two, the program was conducted for the Faculty of Sciences, where Mr. Yogesh Rao discussed the technicality of cybercrime and security concerns with the science stream students. He covered topics like types of cyber threats, data breaches, hacking, and the importance of protecting sensitive information in an interconnected world.

The day three program was scheduled for the commerce & management students. Throughout the sessions, students actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and gained practical insights. Participants emerged from the program with a heightened awareness of online risks and strategies to ensure their online cyber safety. Certificates were awarded to both students and faculty participants by the Central Detective Training Institute Jaipur as a recognition of their participation in the program.
