A multidimensional exhibition “Aeon of Computers”, was organized by the Department of CS & IT from September 30 to October 1, 2014, Srijan Hall, The IIS University, where the students of Computer Science & Information Technology displayed models and posters on topics like Computer Architecture, Programming, Networking & Mobile Computing, Basic Principles of Computing Technology, Animation & Multimedia, Basic Drawing Techniques, and Database.The purpose of the exhibition was to develop scientific attitude in the students to make them realize the interdependence of computers.
On Day 1, inauguration of the Exhibition was done by Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ashok Gupta, followed by the Registrar, Dr. Raakhi Gupta. Visitors from various schools and colleges visited the exhibition. Visiting of different school and colleges were strictly on invitation based. It acted as a platform for the students to exchange their knowledge, develop better communication skills and gain more information by their active participation in the exhibition.
On Day 2, Advisor and Deans from the respective faculties- Science, Arts and Commerce visited the exhibition and encouraged and motivated the students by appreciating the work that was displayed. Faculties and students from various departments also visited the exhibition.
The exhibition was coordinated by Dr. Amita Sharma and Ms. Astha Pareek, faculties of CS & IT Department.
The feedback from various faculty members both from the University and other institutions were highly motivating and appreciable.
All over 150 above models and posters were displayed, out of which 70 were models and
80 were posters.
The exhibition helped students & teachers to learn from each others’ experiences &
motivate them to design something new & novel. The exhibition inculcated a sense of pride
in their talent which will help them to perform better in future.
