Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity: to make the students learn by observing the art work of other students

 

Description:

 

The Department of Computer Science and IT organized a field visit to AMAZE (exhibition on “Graphic Designing”) to display the work by the students of ARENA Institution. Designers portrayed their skills in the fields viz. designing, multimedia, VFX, 3D, Graphics, Game Designing and Animation projects. The visit was organized for the students of BCA (Sem III) and B.Sc.(H) Multimedia & Animation (Sem I, III &V).  It was supervised by Dr. Anubha Jain, Dr. Priyanka Verma and Dr. Joshita Sharma.

In this interactive exhibition the students were given a brief description of the following:

  • Digital Painting
  • Miniature
  • Film Making (Animated Movies)
  • 2D and 3D Animation
  • Game Designing

The students were introduced to a new way of visualizing life with technology where everything needs to be considered as a creative and innovative project. The students were guided about what is pre-production and what is post-production and how it is done. The students got an opportunity to see various projects related to Designing in Photoshop, Illustrator, MAYA, Lightroom and Sketching using a technical pen, creating Caricatures.

 The overall exhibition was interesting, attractive and informative and the students got an exposure on new techniques. The visit ended with a feedback note by expressing gratitude to ARENA Institute for inviting The IIS (deemed to be University) and making the students aware of the Animation Technology.   

Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop: The students got an opportunity to see various projects related to Designing in Photoshop, Illustrator, MAYA, Lightroom and Sketching using a technical pen, creating Caricatures
