Guest lecture on: Agile in IT & Life

The Department of Computer Science and IT organized a guest lecture on “Agile in IT & Life” lead by Mr. Satish Malhotra, a technical consultant and senior project manager in Advanced Technology Consulting Services (ATCS), which is a USA based company. Mr. Satish is certified agile and scrum professional and Microsoft certified trainer as well.
In this interactive session the students were given a brief description of the following:
- Need of Agile.
- Understanding of Agile
- Difference between types of Software models.
- Tools & techniques.
- Frameworks of Agile.
The students were introduced to a new way of living life with technology where everything needs to be considered as a project. A cloud based tool named “Kanbanchi” derived from a German word was introduced. This tool can be used in daily life to schedule the way of living life properly. The students were guided about how to use the tool and the advantages of using it in daily life.
At the conclusion of the session the query round was held in which the students got an opportunity to put forward questions to sate their curiosity. The overall session was enlightening and the students enjoyed it. The session ended with thank you note by expressing gratitude to Mr. Malhotra for taking out time from his busy schedule and making the students aware of the basics of Agile Technology.
