Guest Lecture: Growing Scope of Cyber Security

The department of CS & IT  organized a guest lecture to orient students about the growing scope of Cyber Security. The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Vipin Khandelwal, Assistant Professor and Cyber Security Expert, Poornima University, Jaipur.
The session covered the following topics:
  • What is Cyber Security?
  • Why is it needed?
  • Strong Passwords
  • Future scope in Cyber Security
  • Certification courses for Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking
The session started with a brief introduction of Cyber Security. The guest told the students about different ways by which information may be leaked or passwords may be cracked. The students were advised to never use personal details as a part of the password. Further the growing prospects of Cyber Security and its opportunities in the near future were discussed. Also various certification courses which can be pursued in the field of Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking were also discussed.
It was an interactive and useful session. At the end, the students got their queries resolved and thanked Mr. Vipin Khandelwal for sharing his time and knowledge with them.
