The Department of Computer Science and IT organized a lecture on “SWAYAM APP” lead by Dr. Amita Sharma,  Senior Assistant Professor in the CS and IT department. 

In this session the students were given a brief description of the following:

 

The students were introduced to a new and revolutionary way of gaining quality education without the need of going anywhere and receiving certificates of completion at the end of it. An app developed by Govt. of India named “SWAYAM” was introduced. Through this app one can pursue courses regardless of their field taught by highly qualified teachers from institutes like IITs and NITs. Students can pursue courses and will give a test at the end, on passing the test one will receive a Certificate of completion which can play a crucial role in one’s career path opening a wider range of opportunities to the individual. The students were guided about how to use the app and how it fulfils the vision of DIGITAL INDIA.

 

At the conclusion of the session the query round was held in which students got an opportunity to put forward question to sate their curiosity. The overall session was enlightening and the students enjoyed it.
