Orientation Programme for Elective paper was organized on 10th September 2020, for the students of BCA semester I. In BCA program, 2 electives are offered in the first semewster. They are Principles of Management and Principles of Accounting
Total 12 students attended the session.
Dr. Neha Mathur briefed the students about the familiar with basic principles of management. She explained the students that in this paper, they would be able to Understand the functions of management and the roles of managers. She also briefly took up the interesting topics like the primary functions of management and the roles of managers, contributors to the field of management, planning and why organization need to plan and control, the process and techniques of individual and group decision making, and organizational structures, the importance of employee motivation and how to promote it.
Dr. Vinay Nagpal briefed the students about the conceptual understanding of financial accounting system and Familiarization with the role of accounting software and its application in business organization. He very briefly took up the following topics: The Basic Terminology of Book Keeping & Accountancy, skills of Preparing the Trading, Profit & Loss A/c & Balance Sheet of the Organization, the skills of Preparation of Accounts from Incomplete Records and its uses, the different type of Accounting Software, the use of Accounting Software Tally etc.
The intent behind organizing the orientation was to give an idea to the students about both the electives, so that they can make a wise choice as per their interest and caliber and decide their elective.
