Objective of the Event:

CS & IT department with collaboration with Dr CBS Cyber Security Service, on 29 August, organized an orientation program.  Dr. C B Sharma IPS (R.), the esteemed Founder and CEO of Cyber Security Services conducted this session.  The program aimed to provide students with an insightful introduction to the field of cyber security and offer an interactive platform to engage with the students' queries and concerns. The event witnessed the participation of 92 students, making it a well-attended and interactive session.

The orientation program was structured to deliver a comprehensive understanding of cyber security concepts, challenges, and career prospects. Dr. C B Sharma, with his extensive experience in the field of law enforcement and cyber security, proved to be an ideal resource person for the event.                                      

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. C B Sharma. He emphasized the increasing importance of cyber security in the digital age and highlighted the need for young minds to actively engage with this field. Dr. Sharma provided an engaging presentation on the fundamentals of cyber security. He covered topics like types of cyber threats, data breaches, hacking, and the importance of protecting sensitive information in an interconnected world.

The highlight of the program was the interactive session. Dr. Sharma encouraged students to ask questions and share their thoughts. This created a dynamic exchange of ideas, allowing students to clarify their doubts and gain insights into the practical aspects of cyber security. To make the concepts more relatable, Dr. Sharma presented real-world case studies of cyber-attacks and security breaches. These examples displayed the potential consequences of weak cyber security practices and underscored the urgency of maintaining strong defences.

His session was concluded by sharing some tips for safe use of computer resources. Also a programme was informed to students on cyber security which is a 3-month online course organized under CS &IT dept. with collaboration of Dr CBS cyber security services keeping in mind the importance and its significance in the upcoming years. The students were told about the legal aspects of accessing the internet and rules of using social media and gaming.
