Day 1 (24th September 2021) -
On day 1, at the outset, a general introduction was held wherein the students gave basic introduction of the deparmtent. Next, Professor Vijay Singh Rathore and Dr. Anubha Jain took sessions, wherein they welcomed all the students. They briefed them about the various aspects curricular of BCA and B.Sc (H) Multimedia & Animation at IIS deemed to be University. They also guided them about the career aspects of BCA and B.Sc (H) Multimedia & Animation course as it is professional and how students should prepare themselves before going for placements after completion of the course. Also briefed them about how to take best out of student life and how to stay calm and be positive always and never give up the zeal to learn new things and take up new things. The students were also briefed about the latest in the field of IT. This session surely bridged the gap between the teachers and the students who were meeting for the first time.
Next a demo was given by Dr. Geetika Vyas about the Android app developed by students of BCA. The students found the app very interesting as it helped in navigation across the university campus.
Next Dr. Deepshikha Bhatia took up the session and made the students play few interesting games which acted as an ice breaking session and students got a chance to interact with each other.
Day 2 (25th September 2021) -
In continuation to the interactive sessions of day one, a Motivational Lecture and Alumni Meets were conducted on the second day.
In the first session, Mr. Vipin Jain, Quality Assurance Head & Project Delivery Manager at Metacube Software Pvt Ltd., graced the occasion as the Guest Speaker and delivered a talk titled “You Need to Grow Your Thoughts”. He enlightened the students about how one should find a learning process and apply one’s thoughts in order to grow. He shared his journey and motivated students to find their own path and always learn while going through the highs and lows.
Next, Ms. Mansi Maheshwari, Software Engineer Associate at AMDOC’S, Pune shared her journey from being a Computer Application student at IIS University to completing her Master’s in Computer Application from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, UPto working as a professional. She explained the DOs and DONTs while one pursues their set goals as students. The objective of this session was to find a way to show path to the students about preparing their strategy to spent their student life at IISU and also prepare for their future.
Next, alumni Ms. Kashish Khatri, Founder of FABRIKASE, Jaipur, imparted her journey of experience from being a Multimedia student at the IIS University to becoming a successful founder of her brand. She encouraged the students to follow their interests and take the risks it requires in order to achieve their purpose.
The session was very informative and motivating for the students. They surely had a take away message of staying positive and working hard to attain success. The purpose behind planning this orientation was to relieve the students of their anxieties about the various aspects of university life and prepare them for success in the future. This orientation was truly ice breaking, was fun-filled as well as informative for the students.
