Report on Three Days Workshop on “AI and Deep Learning” organized by Bennett University, Noida at Poornima University, Jaipur

Dr. Anubha Jain and Dr. Ruchi Nanda were deputed by the University to attend three days workshop on “AI and Deep Learning” organized by Bennett University, Noida at Poornima University, Jaipur from 12-14 October 2018. They have collaborated as Zonal partners with Prof. Deepak Garg, Bennett University, Noida who has further received a research project from Royal Academy of Engineering, UK for nationwide spread of knowledge of AI through projects and training, making “Deep Learning and AI skills” mainstream in India.

IIS University has accepted the invitation and now is associated as Basic Partner Institution with Bennett University. Basic partner will create a pair of instructors to teach AI and Deep learning in the institution. They will help the institution in furthering the objective of the project as per their capacity.

The first day of the workshop covered foundational concepts of Deep Learning, its applications, Python Preliminaries, Linear and Logistic Regression, ANN, how to develop and apply appropriate tuning to improve the accuracy of network. Practical sessions were covered using Jupyter Notebooks. Second day of the workshop covered Convolutional Neural Networks and Recurrent Neural Network. Third day covered hands on sessions and online assessment was given by the resource persons. The participants have successfully cleared the assessment test and completed hands on workshop.
