Seminar on 'Internet of Things (IoT) by Prof. Paresh V Virparia

 
The Department of CS & IT organized a seminar for the orientation of new students of CS & IT department by Prof. Paresh V Virparia, Director and Professor, Dept of Computer Science, Sardar Patel University on July 9, 2018 at IIS University.
The session was about Internet of Things (IoT) and covered the following topics:-
 Real life examples of IoT
 Evolution of IoT
 Benefits of IoT
 Devices used for developing IoT
The session started with some real life applications of IoT so that students could relate to the concept. The students were briefed about how IoT has evolved over the years and what are its future possibilities. The session was very interactive which made the students think and discuss openly about benefits IoT could provide. Some of the technologies used for developing IoT devices and connectivity were also discussed.
It was an interactive and knowledgeable session. 30 students participated in the event and came to know about the latest and upcoming technologies. It broadened their perspective for the future. The students expressed their gratitude to Prof. Paresh for such a knowledgeable session.
