Department: Computer Science & Information Technology
The second, fourth and sixth semester students of the B.A. (Hons.) Multimedia and Animation program visited the Dainik Bhaskar printing facility, Jaipur, as part of their academic industry exposure initiative.
The purpose of the visit was to provide students with a real-time understanding of the newspaper production process, from content preparation to final delivery. The team at Dainik Bhaskar guided the students through each step of the workflow, explaining the printing technology, types of ink used, and the layout and design process of newspaper pages.
Students observed how editorial content is finalized, how the design department creates visually engaging pages, and how those designs are then transferred for mass printing using high-speed offset printing machines. The session also included a detailed walkthrough of the packaging and distribution process, showing how thousands of copies are prepared for early morning circulation.
This hands-on experience helped students connect theoretical learning in design and media production with its large-scale industrial execution. It also deepened their understanding of print media operations and career options in news production and layout design.
