Workshop on “Hadoop Installation on Linux Platform”

The Department of CS and IT organized a workshop on “Hadoop Installation on Linux platform” for the students of B.Sc. (H) Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Semester III. Mr. Deepak Rajoria, Network Administrator, ISIM demonstrated the students how to install Ubuntu and Hadoop step-by-step. This softwares are part of their curriculum.
The main objective of the session was to familiarize the students with the Hadoop cluster setup in Pseudo-distributed mode and give them hands-on experience. Additionally, it will assist the students in installing other advanced open-big data analytics tools and processing/analyzing the big data using map-reduce programming or other Hadoop ecosystems.
All of the students found the workshop to be informative, engaging, and practical-oriented.
