Summary 

On 16 and 23 March 2024 a workshop on Testing Tools was organized. The aim of the workshop was to help students understand the usage of Selenium and JUnit (through Eclipse) since it is a part of their curriculum. Automation lead Mr Asheesh Misra from Metacubes Software Private Limited Jaipur was invited as the resource person who has an experience of almost 15 years. He initiated the workshop highlighting the importance of testing domain in the software industry, expectations from a tester and the requirements of manual as well as automation testing. Hands-on sessions were conducted. Students raised queries related to the demonstrations which got resolved during the sessions. The workshop covered all the aspects related to the tools. 

Objectives: - 

• Manual and Automation testing fundamentals 
• Using Selenium tool
• Using JUnit (Eclipse) 

Benefit in terms of learning/Skill/Knowledge obtained: 

• Students get introduced to testing tools and testing types.
• Students were able to learn the usage of Selenium and JUnit.
• Implementation of the tools to address real world scenarios.
