Objective of the Event: objective of this event is to make students aware of the latest security hacking techniques through which one can save oneself from cyber hacking.
The Department of CS and IT organized a guest lecture on cyber law and cyber security on 9 November 2022. The informational lecture was delivered by Dr Sachin Sharma (Chief Cyber Security Analysist). Dr Sachin Sharma initiated the talk by the emphasis on the significance of cyber security. His talk was geared towards various facts of Cyber Stalking, Extortion, Spoofing, Cyber Crimes and Cyber Forensics. He discussed crime investigation case studies. He also explained how hackers steal our Banking Credentials and get our money from Bank accounts. His talk pursued Privacy Policies for various applications that are freely available. He gave a brief about the laws that are specially made for the protection of girls and women from cybercrimes. He catered usage of Disposable Email Accounts and explained their importance. He also addressed the questions asked by the students during the program.
The program was concluded by thanking the guest, students, and the department for being a part of it.
