The Department of CS & IT organized a splendid Orientation Programme to formally welcome first year students of BCA, B.Sc.(H) Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and B.Sc. (H) Multimedia and Animation Batch 2024-2025 on 24 August, 2024 in Lab B. The aim of the session was to make the students be aware of the fact of available future careers for them and make themselves a pivotal role in the society.

A formal introduction with the faculty members and administrative staff made it a healthy interaction. Head of the Department, Dr. Ruchi Nanda, acquainted the students to the vision, growth and culture of IIS (Deemed to be University). She pointed out that the students should be equipped with multi-skills, right attitude, time management and must desire for learning and positive restlessness for self-improvement. She also briefed about the various curricular and co-curricular activities and all the other facilities available in the department. The students were informed about all the undergraduate, postgraduate and COSD programmes offered by the department. Dr. Navneet Sharma, Additional Head, explained the structure of Curricula including Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), Scheme of Examination, and Assessment Rubrics.

The second phase of Orientation was organized on 24 August 2024 at AV Hall. The main highlight of the event was the interactive session with the senior students.

Apart from the enriching alumna interaction, the event featured several fun-filled activities that allowed students to relax and bond with their peers.  Fun-Filled event was a resounding success. It provided students with valuable insights from accomplished seniors and offered opportunities for them to unwind, network, and develop important skills. The event not only strengthened the bond between current students but also inspired the current generation to aspire to great heights in their careers.

Overall, the Orientation session was very informative for the students.
